Monday
I had tutorials/presentation and while I was early (rare for me), I was one of the last to present and ended up staying in uni till 7pm. However my presentation went fairly well so much so that my tutor told me I need not come come for Thursdays tutorial because “my progress was very good and ahead of schedule, and that others need tutorials more then me”. Was well pleased.
Tuesday
Had my first actual dissertation submission. Was ok, I hope. Am thus far happy with my progress and the direction my topic is heading and look forward (yeah right) to the weeks of research that lie ahead. Also, I finally registered for uni and paid my fees. And after Boris & I walked to the Chinese supermarket not because we don’t already have tons of Malaysian food (hello- Boris brought back 30kg worth of food. nuts) but because we really couldn’t stand Aldi’s easy cook rice anymore. Thai fragrant rice is the only way forward. However there were no small packets so we had to get the 10kg packet of rice and ended up taking a cab back. Which is ridiculous if you think about it cause it wasn’t even far to begin with. But oh well. I also got stuff for steamboat (yums) and I am thinking of cooking nasi lemak tomorrow (more yums). In the evening we went for dinner with some Singaporeans and Kepong-ians (that would be Damus, Angel, Yvonne & Yen Fei). We had dinner at Zizzi courtesy of the 50% voucher D & A had. My risotto wasn’t great but everything else was.
Wednesday
Five words: IKEA half price meatball Wednesday! But mostly we needed to get a few things for the flat, the £1.50 meatballs were just an added bonus. However most of the stuff I wanted were no longer on sale (for eg the cheap wooden photo frames that come in packs of three).
Ikea (spot Quissimodo Lee)..
Thursday
I had my first Urban Design class (so far so good) and then came home to clean the flat. The rest of the day was pretty uneventful.
Friday
Slept in till 12pm and was woken up by Boris & Nicholas whom had just come back from Basketball. Later for Dinner we (the Singaporean society which is 70% made up of Malaysian architecture students…all in all a total of 19 of us) went for dinner at Korkuyo (a Korean restaurant). The food was so delicious and then got some wine + beers and made our way to the juniors' flat for more random chit chat.
Saturday
Went shopping (to get the photo frames that I could not get in Ikea) and for a movie, the Invention of Lying which was funny but forgettable. And spent the rest of my night organizing my photos and choosing some nice ones to put in the frames. Also finished a bottle of wine and Pringles between us- so really was a nice night at home (and trust me with this wind + rain, you wouldn’t want to be out anyway).

Photos!
So that’s it really.
I am glad I am better (cept for the occasionally coughing) and am looking forward to first finishing my studio work for Thursday, watching the Michael Jackson This Is It documentary and finally Halloween (any ideas what to dress up as?).
